I’m just writing this to tell you that i’m still here and very much interested in filling your dash with pictures of people fucking with the gender binary system.

I’ve just had some things going on in my life (I.E. My entire wardrobe (as well as all the rest of my things) burned in a house fire 3 weeks ago.)

I’m fine, thanks for asking, my clothes, on the other hand, did suffer a more dismal fate. So, everything i post of myself will be brand new and far from now.

I AM:

a native Brooklynite, born of Belizean and Honduran immigrant parents. I am a trans- identified filmmaker, tattoo artist, vegan chef, designer, dj, and Creative Director of bklyn boihood. My innovativeness and resourcefulness transpired a B.A. in Political Science in 2010 from the New School University, and has allowed me to be a continuous politically active member in the LGBTQ of color community in NYC and abroad for nearly 10 years now. My CAMPAIGN is equally essential to my incandescence and having an agency filled life as it is to my active efforts in building community and visibility amongst lgbtq and poc folks.

Woefully, I haven’t been granted ANY of the top surgery scholarships that I’ve applied for over the past 2.5 years (approx. 912 days of dyshporia). Instead of losing faith or dousing myself in self pity I thought it’d be best that I claim what is mine in the Universe, be PRO-ACTIVE, and also TURN TO MY COMMUNITY.

Went to my favourite prof’s first year class today to lurk and listen to her teach adorable little non-English-major first years. I figured I had to make the right impression.

Pants are Redo (yes, a different pair!), sweater is Rock Eagle, shirt is Dream Angel; all were purchased in France. The second shirt I’m wearing underneath is just a fitted Old Navy cap-sleeve tee from several years back. Ring is from a $3 shop in New York, bracelet was made by my uncle, shoes are Converse.
